Short Story Twist Ending Final

Kyle Anderson

Hour 2

It was just another sunny Wednesday in Jacksonville, Florida. Jake Sorenson is a senior at Jacksonville High. He’s a popular kid with a lot of friends and has a lot going for him in sports. Jake got picked up by his friend after football practice on this nice sunny day. He loved where he lived because off the scenery everywhere, he loved how every road seemed to give you a perfect view of the oceans that surrounded the pan handle state on both sides. As Jake was waiting at a red light he could hear something unusual. He thought to himself and by the time he looked up and his mind had comprehended the sound it was too late.

Jake woke up in his bed the next day feeling fine as if nothing had happened. He woke up and followed his daily schedule of showering and get ready for school. Everything seemed dark that day but it didn’t affect Jake being the optimistic person he is. He got in his car and drove to school. Everything felt slightly out of place but Jake figured it was just an aftershock of yesterday’s mishap. He talked to his friends and even the girl he had always wanted to talk to, Sara Nelson, came up and talked to him! No matter the gray skies, Jake was already having a good day. He sat through class and flew through every test his teachers threw at him. As he was sitting in class he looked outside and noticed the sky had changed color, but nothing out of the ordinary. After what seemed like a short day at school the girl of his dreams confronted him again and asked him if he wanted to go to her house. Jake was shy and nervous but nonetheless accepted the rare invitation. They hung out and hit it off immediately. Jakes life was going as he had only could’ve imagined.

He drove home late at night because he had so much fun with this girl. As he was driving home he couldn’t wait to tell his family about this amazing girl. When he got home he went straight to bed since everyone he wanted to brag to was already asleep. He woke up the next day and his first thoughts were “What should I do on this fine Saturday?” He decided to go for a run to start the day. Running seemed easier than ever but Jake blamed it on his great mood and series of fortunate events. Jake saw Sara around the corner from his house which was weird since she lived a couple miles away. He jogged up to her and asked her what she was up to. She responded saying that she was just going over to his house to see what he was up too. They decided to hang out all day and that night Jake went got in bed with a smile again.

Jake was trying to sleep after a whole day with Sara but something was irritating him. He got up and decided to just step outside for some fresh air. Outside he looked at the stars which were brighter than he had ever seen before. He turned to look at the moon which was noticeably larger as well but Jake’s mind was so clouded by something else to pay much attention to it. Jake walked around some more and eventually got tired enough to fall asleep. He climbed into bed and left reality into his dream world.

The next thing Jake knows, he is dazed and confused. He opens his eyes to bright white lights and a stranger standing over him with the biggest smile. Jake’s mind is so scrabbled and confused that he seems to be speechless. The smiling woman says “Welcome back Jake.” Jake asks what she means and the lady tells Jake that he just woke up from a coma of 2 weeks. When Jake hears the women say that his memory begins playing replays over and over. Before he can fully comprehend the situation his family is running through the door, tears of joy streak down their faces. His mom told him how he was in a car crash and was really lucky he wasn’t killed. After a long time with his family he begins to try and recount what happened. It all begins to come back to him bit by bit. He starts to remember having school and football practice as usual. He then remembers how he heard a loud roar of an engine but before he could see it everything went black.

Jake realizes how lucky he is and after a couple of weird days in the hospital he was released back to his own home and family. When he got home everything was different. He was so used to his own dream that reality was no longer fun for him. He moped around, depressed, and wondered what he was going to do with his life now. It was the weekend so Jake didn’t have to see all his friends at school and hear there apologetic worries. Jake was sitting outside when Sara came up to his door. Jake was shocked and nervous and didn’t know what to do. Sara came up to the steps where Jake was standing. They looked at each other in the eyes for what seemed like forever. Jake asked what she was doing there and she did only one thing. She looked at Jake, kissed him ever so lightly and said, “You can rest happily now.” Sara left immediately after that. Jake didn’t understand what it meant and stammered around trying to figure it out. That night Jake had trouble falling asleep but when he finally did, he never woke up. His days of dreaming were over.

Constructive Feedback

Positives- I honestly walked into class the first day of the quarter and thought wow this is going to be a boring class. As we progressed throughout the quarter I began to realize that writing isn't that bad and I found myself enjoying it at times. I think it helps being on computers too rather than hand writing everything. Either way I learned a lot about myself through writing which is without a doubt a positive thing. I also read that stream writing, which is basically what we do with daily journals, is a good way to workout and expand your brain. Lyrics was a good idea as well. People enjoy sharing their interests, I know I did, and it's good to branch out to different styles of music. You never know if you like something until you give it a go. Overall I liked this class a lot more than I thought I would.

Things to improve- There isn't much I would change except for the end of the quarter. I think giving more time between the two short stories would help. When students rush to finish their Sci Fi story and immediately jump into another short story it can be stressful. I think that the lyrics assignment should be more lenient when it comes to bad words and what not because some of the greatest songs have swear words and such. Set those two things aside and you've got yourself a great class.

Daily Journal 4/6

Looking back I honestly can't think of a bad experience at a restaurant. Sure I've had bad service sometimes but that's nothing serious, it happens. I have had a lot of good experiences to say the least. Now that I think of it I have had one time but it wasn't at a sit down restaurant... it was at McDonalds. It was a cold winter night and myself and a couple friends decided to go grab something to eat. We sat in line, finally ordered our food and paid. As we were waiting for our food we began to notice how unusually long it was taking. People behind us started honking, leaving the line, and even getting out of their cars to see what was going on. This whole time my friends and I were sitting there helpless as no employee was at the drive thru window. We sat there for a good 5-10 minutes before someone finally came to the window and said "Sorry, it'll be just a minute"... after 10 minutes already! You may wonder what took so long to cook up for us but it was only 2 McChickens, a McDouble, 2 small fries, and 4 waters. I guess you could say we have good luck when it comes to getting stuck in line at fast food joints. Finally we got our food after nearly 12 minutes and didn't even get anything extra for waiting so damn long. I haven't been to McDonalds since but not because of that one reason. It's just because there food sucks and only makes you fat. Go Taco Bell!!! They may have fake meat and its not actually authentic mexican but at least they always have good service and good food. No matter who's working from Andrey to the scary black lady(?) who stares and wears a lot of makeup.

Daily Journal 4/4

To explain this picture I'll tell you the story behind it...

One stormy night old man Jenkins was awoken by a loud bang. (When you're half asleep things can get a little weird too). The old man gets up and figures it was something caused by the storm as any person would first assume. He begins walking around looking for something out of place but finds nothing. As he goes outside in the pouring rain he leaves his door open so he can run out and right back in. After looking outside for 5 minutes he runs back inside and figures that it was jsut his imagination playing tricks on him. He goes peacefully back to bed but something wakes him up again only a few short minutes later. He looks at his clock and notices it has only moved 3 minutes. He gets up again, worried that something is going on. He grabs his hunting rifle and walks around again, this time on his toes ready to shoot anything that moves. When he looks outside again he hears footsteps up stairs. Old man Jenkins lives alone. Now the old man's heart was beating faster than its capability and his nerves were on end. He tells himself not to go upstairs but his instinct forces him up each step. He turns the corner into his bed room where a black figure jumps out and knocks his rifle away. The figure disappears into the darkness and the old man hits the lights. All of the sudden a large figure under the carpet was headed straight for the old man. He grabbed the only thing in sight, a wooden chair, and hit the object as hard as he could. It lay lifeless and still. The old man hits it again just to make sure the intruder is dead. He began to move the carpet and he saw a small squirrel that must have escaped the storm when he left his door open.

Sci Fi Final Story

We all have our opinion on what the future has in store for us but no one of us can actually predict what will happen. Five of the most elite soldiers in the world were selected for that very reason. World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam, the Cold War, September 11th, and now what. Our government has been hiding something from us known as cryogenic technology. The world’s top scientists have been working together since the late 1950’s in search of a cryogenic freezer just like the one’s seen in the movies. Now in 2011 they have a hybrid version and are willing to “ice” five elite soldiers for what the future may bring them. We all are witness to the events going on around the world today and some even fear an apocalypse. Well that won’t be happening anytime soon. Not on Strike Forces watch.

5... 4… 3… 2… 1… the doors to the cryogenic freezers open revealing men that no one knows or have ever heard of. Out of the first door steps Captain Anderson. He is tall and toned, very handsome in other words. The second door releases from its frozen clutch and out steps Captain Nilsen. He is the oldest member of the squad and known to be the wisest of all. The third door slides open revealing Sergeant Schultz. Now this guy is very tall and skinny giving him and odd appearance but who am I to judge, he’s here for a reason. Out of the fourth comes Lieutenant Jacobson, the small, quick, mixed soldier. Out of the fifth and final door steps the last member of the elite task force. He goes by Private but formally known as Private Hanson. These five men all seemed to bring different characteristics and traits to the table making sense that they are the greatest task force known to man. They call themselves, Strike Force.

Being cryogenically frozen doesn’t sound too tempting but when it’s to save your beloved country it’s worth it. Members of Strike Force described being frozen just like sleeping forever. They say you wake up as if it were all a dream, try to stretch but it’s as if they forgot how to use their limbs. It will take some time for these men to get back to 100% but that’s what base camp is for. The men still trying to gain balance begin to get briefed immediately. “Welcome to 2111” was the first thing the mysterious man in the white lab coat said. He briefed the squad on the current events and issues. Do you remember when you were young and you always pondered the thought of extraterrestrial life and ultimately aliens, well I think I have an answer to all your questions. “E.T. forces have begun a full scale invasion on the last standing fortress in the Midwest. The fortress of New Minneapolis won’t stand for much longer and it’s simply a given. We have awoken you men because we need you to retrieve one thing.” Strike Force looked around and at each other like it was a joke. Anderson raised his hand and said, “By E.T. forces, do you mean what I think you mean?” The man in the lab coat looked at him as if he were in some way mental. Now coming from the year 2011 and skipping one hundred years can be quite a change and really quite a shock. Strike Force being the elite team they are accepted the fact and continued with the briefing. “It’s really simple.” says the scientist. “We need you men to gear up ASAP and retrieve the quantum solace.” There is only one more question after that. Private stands up and asks, “and who might you be?” to the man in the lab coat. “Who me? I could be the last president to ever walk this earth.” There was a long pause but it helped the men understand the necessity of re capturing the quantum solace.

The squad did exactly as they were told which made them such a loyal task force. They headed out to Camp Valley where they would receive some basic training to get the feel for the future. Air and oxygen was different here. The air was thick, you could feel the pollution run in and out of your lungs. But as usual, that wasn’t enough to discourage the squad. Anderson asked to see what he was fighting being he nor had anyone with him had seen or fought an alien. The president gave the ok and the men found themselves shocked. Anderson and Nilsen made no gesture keeping the confidence as Schultz let his fear seep through his eyes. Jacobson and Private Hanson flinched, showing how brave they really are. Nilsen turned to his men and said few words. “You know what to do.” And he walked away. Jacobson, Schultz and Hanson all went to their quarters to get a good sleep before the assault of New Minneapolis. Anderson was the only one who remained staring at this creature. 4 am; the squad awakes. As they clean up their stations and get dressed no one says a word as the tension in the air says it all. Anderson and Nilsen both being the oldest and the Captains spent the night before devising their plan of attack. At breakfast they briefed their comrades. Dawn approached and the crew geared up. They went down to the hangar as they would be dropped by airplane into combat. On the plane to New Minneapolis the men gathered their thoughts and calmed their thoughts. The captains gave their men and friends what they all thought would be their last fight together. As camp Valley was only a couple minutes from Minneapolis the pilot said over the intercom, “prepare for drop.” The men suited up in their diving suits and jumped. They parachuted safely to the ground but immediately into combat. E.T. forces seemed far more advanced than the human race at this point but that was something Strike Force wasn’t informed of only because no one wanted to ruin their morale.

Their plan of attack was to be stealth but with such great technology it seemed impossible. The men were bemused by the amazing technology of the aliens. There was a difference that separated us humans from aliens. Aliens fought off of pure knowledge and technology. What they forgot is that we human beings fight with more than just our knowledge, but with our hearts. The men were hit with wave after wave of enemy forces yet their strategy and will power overpowered any alien force that headed their way. The quantum solace was located in the center of the old Mall of America and heavily guarded. Schultz came up with an idea to get inside but his plan stopped there. Once Strike Force got inside it was up to the captains to take it from there. There were cameras but moved around leaving certain intervals to get past and hack them. Anderson watched and timed perfectly. Once the time was right Anderson gave the signal to Jacobson who, being the fastest got behind the camera in time to hack it making it safe for the rest of the squad. The mall was far emptier than anyone had expected leaving the men on their toes. They walked up to the quantum solace as if it were a walk in the park. As Hanson reached for the solace E.T. forces surrounded the men. They all took cover as fast as possible but they knew there was no escape. The biggest alien any of the men have seen stepped out and began talking as if Strike Force was expected to know there language. This whole time Strike Force is looking at one another and thinking all the same thing. They knew their objective was to destroy the quantum solace so that’s exactly what they would do.

The alien leader stopped talking and that’s when the men knew to act. Jacobson sprinted from cover to cover drawing enemy fire away from his friends. Hanson and Schultz fought hard but were killed within the first minute of fighting. Nilsen dove for the solace but got hit in multiple places leaving him helpless in the middle of the battle field. Nilsen, still able to move his arms, threw the solace to Anderson. In what seemed like minutes but was only seconds Anderson looked to his last remaining soldier. Jacobson looked back with a look that Anderson knew. Anderson destroyed the solace. The solace was so powerful it blew up the size of 2 atomic bombs killing every being around for miles. When the remaining human forces saw the explosion they all knew what happened. Human forces regained their strategic points and in a years time they had pushed alien forces all the way back to the African coast. The battle was won in months time after that. The famous Strike Force that had been raised for one last battle was never forgotten. A statue as grand as any wonder in the world was built in their honor. Anderson, Nilsen, Jacobson, Schultz, and Hanson rested peacefully for the rest of eternity.

Behind her the noise escalated...

Behind her the noise escalated... the girl began to walk faster, then skipped into a jog, and then into a full on sprint! All of the sudden the street cut off and she fell into the next morning as she awoke sweating and trembling in her bed. She was so frightened that she had to tell someone to get it off her chest. She went upstairs and immediately told her roommate about the terrifying dream. She began, "I was laying in my bed and the next thing I know I'm walking down a street and it's pitch black outside. I'm walking along contemplating all of my surroundings when I get this weird feeling like my conscious is trying to tell me something. All of the sudden a clown jumps out and chases me until I fall off the street and wake up."

The clock winked...

The clock winked at me. Wait... what? A clock? All of the sudden two little legs and two little arms popped out of the clock as if the clock had a body. At this point I'm thinking to myself this must be a dream. Duh, clocks aren't living things. Just as that thought crossed my mind eyes popped out along with a mouth but no nose. This clock just transformed from my every day time keeper to a living thing. It was unbelievable to say the least as the little clock man began talking, making hand gestures, and moving just like you and me. He began by introducing himself as he was a very polite young clock. He said, "Hello Kyle, I'm your clock and yes I am talking to you. This whole time I am sitting on my couch with a look that says, "holy sh*t". Tickity Tock was the clocks name and right after introductions he told me an adventure awaits us. We stepped outside into the open planes of Africa as elephants ran past us. We then began to walk away from the hut that we were once in. All of the sudden a pride of lions ambushed us but we fought them off. As we were on our journey the ground disappeared under our feet. Then I woke up.

I once dreamed about...

Everybody has that dream that occurs multiple times. I use to dream this but it hasn't been dreamt in quite a while yet I can still remember it clear. It all starts like a blur and it's hard to realize what's going on at first but then the vision clears up and I'm in a castle. I wander around and the weirdest things are going on in the dream but I never realize how weird it is until I wake up. As I'm wandering there's a witch like lady who wants to kill me so I begin to run but I can't seem to run that fast. I get backed up against the castle wall where it's either be killed by the witch or jump and hope I live. All of the sudden a crocodile starts charging towards me but I can't make a decision. The next thing I know I'm in my bed falling down a very long octagonal well looking thing. Before impact I awake wondering why this dream reoccurs. It's been years now since I've had a recurrence of that dream but now I start to have new dreams instead. I have this dream where I am sky diving and I free fall for what seems like forever but I'm having fun. It's no scary dream what so ever. Then right before I perish into the ground of my dream world, I awake. Another dream that I can remember that was pretty cool was when I was like the human torch from the fantastic 4. I could take two steps forward and then jolt up into the sky and start flying. I felt like I could control my dream too which is rare. In the dream I had the most fun ever because I actually felt how it was to be able to fly and there are no words to desrcribe that feeling. When I woke up from the best dream I had ever had I was simply devistated and wished I could go back to sleep and fly one more time.

I wish someone had told me... to just be me. Growing up every kid wanted to be a cool kid, do cool things, and wear cool clothes. All with the ultimate goal to be "popular". I have always found myself to be modest, not cocky but confident, and kind to everyone no matter their status at school. So I guess this isn't for me but for everyone else who thinks there's such thing as popular. Be you because that's who you are. You can't live you life being someone you aren't yet some people still try to. Looking at EVHS, the "popular" kids don't have many friends outside their group and just my opinion, I don't want to be like that. It's all opinion and I'm sure others would say differently but oh well I'm just rambling on. I wish I could send out an announcement to the world that there really isn't such thing as popular, in fact the popular kids are actually hated the most out of any group here because they think they're so cool and not to mention all the rumors that get spread about them. I prefer to have friends from every group and be that normal kid who had a good time and didn't get tied down with the cool kids partying all the time and getting in trouble. Overall just be you. Smile and don't let other things like that get to you because its not worth it. Don't worry and have no regrets. (My advice to the younger generation)

A little Asian guy driving a shoe car. The story of the shoe car. One day Chong was in his garage and was just in a good mood feeling motivated to do something. As he was sitting there thinking he happened to look down at his shoes and think about how we use them to run and walk places and even bike too. He thought about shoes for a short while but then moved on to his next idea because he was getting no where. Next he thought about his lawn mower, rake, hose, and garage door. Yet not one idea came to him. He decided to call it a day and head in for a good night sleep. The next morning Chong awoke in what seemed like a trance. It was an idea! He thought he could use the same energy used for tire brakes on roller coasters to conserve and create more energy than ever! He pondered then wandered but he couldn't stop thinking about his shoes. He went back out into the garage, looked at his car, looked at his shoes, and then stopped. Chong said screw energy conservation, I'm making a shoe car! From that moment he began making his well thought up show car. He finally finished and got to show it off for all of China to see. Thank Chong for shoe cars! All the little kids and old nemisis' of Chong will weep when they see his all-awesome shoe car because it's so cool and who doesn't wan't one? That would be called sarcasm. lol. But in reality it's kind of cool but I wouldn't want it unless it had giant wheels for off roading and a roll cage and cockpit so your head doesn't get snapped off when you roll.

It's a perfect day to set sail today. Myself along with my posse of thugs and goons were at the bar having a good time when captain Buzzkill entered the room with his elite royal military squad. As soon as they entered everyone knew what was next. All the sudden guns went off, swords and knives came out, and punches were being thrown. We walked away victoriously and set sail immediately after. We were in the port of east Shanghai headed towards the end of the world. Every mate thought it was crazy yet our mysterious dark captain insisted we sail on. We sailed for days never ready for the long fall that awaited us but we never came to an end. We found an uninhabited world and a people that had never been seen by eye of a pirate. The world was called Bajamba and everywhere you went and looked everything lit up just like in avatar. We walked around and the people known as Bajambi's showed us the way. We feasted with them, made friends, then eventually turned on them and took over their land. We call this place America. The end.

Holy s*#! that's a big rabbit. I don't know if I can even believe this picture. That rabbit looks as if it is 4 and a half feet tall, foot to ear, and probably anywhere from 50-80 pounds. Did you know rabbits could get that big because I sure as hell didn't. I have so many questions for this little old guy and this godzilla-sized rabbit. I bet all the other rabbits see that one and run away in fear. If it is real then here are my theories. 1, it is a scienctific experiment. 2, it lived off this old guys crops and just lived there unnoticed getting bigger and bigger and bigger. 3, it's the mans pet and he fed it growth hormones. The deicision is up to you I guess. I wonder where it's from and how it got that big but I figure we'll finish this prompt and forget all about the massive rabbit so... oh well. If it was mine I'd name it Thumper. My cousins have a rabbit and it just poops and sheds rabbit fur everywhere. That doesn't sounds like a fun pet to have but they are also a weird bunch of people. The one in the picture is almost as big as my dog.

Spongebob is a good guy and he's pretty famous too. His last name is Squarepants because he's a sponge with a square body therefor he must wear squar pants. One day as he was on his way to work at the Krusty Krab he looked over into the jellyfish fields where something caught his attention. As he was walking a bright light shined in his eyes and he decided he was early enough to go take a look at it. As he approached the shiny object he realized it was a motorcycle owned buy the boss of a biker gang. Spongebob knew what he was dealing with and decided to move away slowly and silently. As he was backing away 3 bikers jumped out of the bushes as if it were an ambush. When spongebob tried to evade the bikers his pants got caught on the bushes and ripped off. Spongebob, fearing for his life, kept running and went to work that day without his square pants. The gang of bikers held his square pants for ransom and Spongebob being the foolish person he is said he would agree to anything and everything just for his pants. They said they wanted everything he owned and... Spongebob agreed on one condition. As long as he got to keep Gary the snail. It was agreed upon and now Spongebob is living in the back room at the Krusty Krab with his snail cooking krabby patties and doing what he loves the most.

My Poem

Living life young, wild and free
We do what we like to do
Enjoying every moment that could be

Some revolve their life around the tree
A liquid class of green, illness like the flu
Living life young, wild and free

We all have dreams to one day travel the sea
Break the norm, is that like you
to be all you can be

Living, loving, laughing and learning
that's what life is about.
Live it up like it's your last
and believe it's going to be a blast.

Well I'd start off by sky diving cause I've always wanted too and as I was sky diving I would throw money everywhere to share the wealth. For pretty much everything I did I would give money out because it's an unlimited supply for me and there is nothing better than making other peoples' day. Next I would buy the fastest car available and take it out on the autobahn. I would spend some time with the ones I care about and love, obviously, but still do cool stuff. I mean I am about to die. Hopefully the Superbowl was on this day because I would want to go to a Superbowl as well. I would also have a party at the play boy mansion in my honor. I would try cliff diving and I'd spend a lot of time doing the normal fun things too. I would buy a bunch of taco bell and blizzards from dairy queen and attempt to fly a plane. I would buy a helicopter and fly it around for recreational fun and I would also buy a bunch of trees for everyone to have in memory. Then I would try jumping a giant gap on a dirt bike and then again with a snowmobile. I would also make sure I was forgiven before I passed away.

Villanelle

There is a place that nobody seems to know,
but it's sitting out in plain sight.
It is a place full of green trees and a mysterious flow.

It's a place that I've got to show.
With no chance of word getting out I just might.
As long as the whole world doesn't know.

All the time the wind would blow
but always blew so light.
That is a part of the mystery flow.

Go over the bridge look over and below.
It's deep and hidden, out of sight.
it's somewhere that nobody would know.

When you get to the meadow with grass so low
and you can start to see the light.
Then you'll begin to feel the flow.

You feel so good your skin begins to glow,
everything feels just right.
Now you can say you know

How ridiculous I was as a...

How ridiculous I was as a youngin' was quite, well, ridiculous. I was a pretty normal kid with a good sense of humor so I guess you could say I was silly. My brother more appropriately earned the title as "goofy". One day we were in florida at the super sea world and they had every animal from manitee to octopus. We had one hell of a time mostly because of the rides they had there and especially "The Kraken" rollercoaster. I have always been more of an adrenaline junkie, I guess you could call it that, and my brother was more of a "oh look at this animal" kind of guy. When we were inside the aquarium my brother looked at the octopus and starting knocking on the glass and making goofy faces at the animal. The octopus with a sense of anger unleashed and broke through the glass wreaking havoc among the people at sea world that day. It lashed out with its tentacles and started sucking onto things and throwing and twisting them all around and in the weirdest ways. Now if you believe this story you may be more gullable than Sean Devine. But anyways, in the end everyone may have been drenched but they left that day with a story to tell. What a day at sea world. We also saw shamoo the killer whale (this part of the story is true) which was pretty cool.

Acrostic

Kyle is a good guy
Young but growing
Learning along the way
Earning his place among the rest

All day I dream about the future
Never looking back
Determined to make a name for myself
Eagerly awaiting the day I graduate
Ready to take on the next level
Simply put I cannot wait
Over the years it was a whole lot of fun
Now it's time to say goodbye to the class of double one

Ways to change the world...

For starters I would expose any secret society like the free masons or Illuminati because everyone talks about them but no one knows for sure if they are real. Second I would reveal the truth to the people. We all know the government is hiding things from us but they have so much more power than any of us that none of us will ever really know the truth. The spell check on here even capitalizes the "I" in Illuminati. There are just so many clues and so much evidence pointing towards these secret societies that we'd be ignorant for not questioning them. So many people are oblivious to what's really going on in the world. For example, people in America care more about Charlie Sheen's rants and antics rather than political matters and things that ACTUALLY matter like the war and such. It just goes to show you how times and people have changed. People call others crazy for saying they believe in these secret societies, aliens, and supernatural beings but in reality there's nothing crazy about it. It's our own schools and government that taught us to put down others when they say anything "crazy" like that. It's just peoples ideas and imaginations running wild and there isn't anything wrong with that. Maybe these people actually do have experiences that seperate them from us but no one will ever know because it could be so rare. I'm not saying what I do and don't believe in but I am saying everyone needs to look at both sides before saying otherwise. The government isn't good but at the same time it isn't bad and in the end theres nothing you can do about what will and won't happen. On another note I would of course try and establish world peace and a system that the entire world could live happily under. I would break all barriers like race and religion just so everyone could live peacefully and happily without worry.

Concrete Poem

I am an even more special shape
That most people take for granted
I have four very sharp corners and
Four of the straightest possible lines
Yet I go unnoticed a lot just because
I could be 3D if I truly choose to be
You could stretch me out if you want
But then I'd be a lame rectangle so
Four 90 degree angles make me...
The easiest yet coolest shape to make

The house was made of old wobbly sticks that the smurfs found in the forest. The smurf people are a very blue people that one day all hopped on the wagon to set out looking for sticks and such to build their huts out of. It was around noon/mid day and one smurf named Gabby yelled to the others. They all looked at her as she was squinting her eyes trying to see something out in the distance. They all began to notice the giant shadow emerging from the dark forest. They immediately knew what it was and began to run. It was a giant smurf eating cat! The twinkle of the smurfs tears shining in the light gave away their position to the cat as he munched away on smurfs. Only a few smurfs were lucky enough to escape and they went on to build the giant smurf kingdom we all know and love today... or in the 80's.

Sonnet

I just woke up in the morning and I gotta thank God.
No birds chirped to annoy me
But the day still seemed odd.
They say you're supposed to be all you can be,
But on days like this I wonder
How to make my day good.
I'd rather be over than under
Like everyone else should
I just can't believe,
Today was a good day.

The first person I would invite is Leonardo da Vinci because he seemed to have all these crazy ideas for his time that hundreds of years later became real working things. For example he created the first blue prints for helicopters and even submarines. I also believe he could tell me so much about secret societies like Illuminati and the free masons. I feel like I could learn so much yet be so interested at the same time if I were lucky enough to have a conversation with the one and only, Leonardo da Vinci. Another person that I would invite would have to be Albert Einstein because he is so talented and unbelievably smart. One could imagine what good conversation he would bring to the table. The last person I would invite would be Aaron Rodgers just because he's a good, quality guy. These three together would have quite the interesting conversations and they all know so much that I don't but would definitely be willing to learn. Now I can't think of anything to write............................................................................................................................................... Assonance

CoD with lag makes me want to throw up in a bag,
Yet I've got mad skills with way more kills than deaths.
Using galils and making heals, can you say mvp?
When the game starts my adrenaline rushes,
5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. time to play and have some fun.
Jungle and nuketown, putting other kids k/d's down
Building up my CoD self esteem.
Black ops baby, someday, just maybe...
You could be as good as me.
Until that day I'll still merk with my AK
Powning noobs and shooting noob tubes
CoD is my game, soon will come the fame.

Daily Journal 2/24

Well it'd have to be a near death experience which happened this past weekend a couple times while driving to my cabin in a snow storm. We were almost run into, we almost slid into others and off into ditches. These ditches weren't your typical ditches, I mean small mountains or bluffs. If we were to fall off the edge of that we would be done for no doubt. Besides the whole almost falling to our deaths there were other times that my heart stopped like when we were traveling down a high way and the truck turn completely side ways and slid just barely missing two other cars. I had only been in one crash in my life and I was much younger and laughing when it happened because our astro van rolled one winter and I found it to be more like a ride than a crash when it happened. Besides those times I can't remember one specific time when I was scared besides maybe seeing a scary movie or going to trail of terror. I do remember two specific moments at the trail of terror that scared the shit out of me. The first was a clown house and my friends and I were down a long pitch black hallway with a slow strobe light going on. All of the sudden a clown came out and didn't appear to be moving but when the next flash went off the clown was closer. We ended up running out of there laughing having a good time though. The other time is in the giant maze they have there and the girl from the ring was running all weird like she does in the movies and she got literally inches away from you and had a knife. We all came through laughing once again but still scared none the less. Those would have to be the scariest moments in my life so far that I can remember.

PEGGLE is the most addicting game ever that I happened to come across this past weekend. My brother, Max, and myself went up to my cabin to shoot at the range and have a good time. They don't have internet up their so we had to make use of what free games we already had on the computer. As I was looking through my HP games I found peggle and the rest is history. We non-stop played until we beat the entire first game which took a couple of hours. Then last night we were all fiending to play so now that we had internet available I found the second version of peggle... Peggle: Nights. My night last night consisted of kicking back, gaming on the ps3, and peggle. I have a feeling that it will be a big hit in the next few months once people realize how amazing and addicting it is. To explain the game it's a bunch of blue and orange balls or bricks that are layed in some pattern across the screen, they are known as pegs. You then have a cannon that shoots a ball from the middle top of the screen downward and bounces off of the pegs until it goes through them all and falls off the screen. The hit pegs are then removed and you have to try and hit all the orange pegs before you run out of balls. You can also get power ups and bonuses and such to keep the game entertaining. Once you play through all of the levels you play the final round known as the master levels. Once you beat that you can claim yourself as a master of the peggle universe. I'm a master of the peggle universe... I will probably go home and peggle some more. peggle peggle peggle peggle peggle peggle peggle.

Alliteration

Twas truly a transcendent time
As an average team attempted to attack the all stars
The gold and green gazing gallantly like lemon lime
The bad guys broke down like busted cars

Through thick and thin they fought to win
A jubilant Jordy and Jennings jumped with joy
Title town tumbled and twisted with a big grin
Lombardi's trophy looks like a lot to enjoy

Earliest memory

I can only think of two moments that I can somewhat remember of when I was much younger. The first memory/memories I have is from preschool and we had certain rooms known as blue and red. In the red room we had an open floor for story/nap time then we had a goo thing that was pretty fun. In the blue room we had a cardboard space ship and stuff like that to role play with. Then we had the gym which had a jungle gym in it. I remember when we all brought a stuffed animal and everyone circled a blanket making the animals bounce up and down off of it. The next clear memory I have is the first day of kindergarten and I can even remember the shirt I wore. It was a white shirt with sharks and the saying "shark attack" in line across the shirt. I also remember being outside and waiting for the bus. My mom drove behind the bus along with many other parents. We got to school and our parents got to spend the half day with us before we went home. Besides some blurry memories that's all I can really remember before age 5 or so. The only other time I can recall is whe I messed up my knee on an underwater anchor and now I have a scar or times at the Gustafson day care.

A sense of time

Summer
Summer is hot red
The color of warmth and fun
Summer feels like vacation every day
It sounds like laughter and good times
It smells like fresh green grass and warm lake waters
Summer tastes like victory
Summer is the best time of the year

A man/woman walks out into the cold night air. His/her hands are shaking from what just happened…

He escaped death once again. The day was January 7th and the time was 2:47 am. Jimmy was a mysterious young man who know one had known much about. It appears he was actually an agent and he just escaped death for the last time. His ex boss from his last agency was the best agent any man had known and when Jimmy had dared to defy him he thought only to act before agent 7, a.k.a. Jimmy, could act first. He tracked down agent 7 and when he was asleep he attacked. 7 was too smart and was anticipating the attack so when number 1, a.k.a. Jimmy's ex boss, jumped through the window with an ak-47 Jimmy jumped up using his judo technique. After a long epic battle, 7 came out victorious. As for number 1, his "dead" body was gone. Da Da DAAAA!!!!

Theme parks are fun
It's something we all love to do
But when we realize what we do there
There's much more than meets the eye

We ride roller coasters
Up and down
All around
Kind of like something important

They have their ups
They have their downs
We have our smiles
We have our frowns

This rollercoaster is something more
Showing us how life goes on
It represents our lives all to well
Up and down the roller coaster goes

Daily Journal 2/17

Well... my brother bought an AK-47 a couple days ago because he wanted to. We went to the dollar store looking for things to shoot at and blow up when we go down to my cabin on Sunday and Monday. I'm pretty excited to shoot it since I never have shot an assault rifle before. The only thing that makes it a little disappointing is how it isn't full auto. It's illegal to have it be full auto but that would have been really tight to shoot. I'm looking forward to that as well as the weekend in general. I'm visiting Winona sometime this weekend as well just to look around even though I'm about 90% sure that's where I want to go. Now I can't think of what else to write and I'm still blanked. School is pretty boring but you have to do it so I guess I can't complain. I love Conan O'Brien and his late night show. I watch it every night then go to bed between 11 and 12. Besides that my days are pretty normal. I like to game and play CoD, NHL 11, NCAA 11, etc. Sleep is a favorite thing of mine as well. I'd rather sleep 8 hours than sleep 12. I'm a firm believer that sleeping in makes you more tired than sleeping the recommended amount. I just thought about when I have to do my lyrics assignment and I have no idea when I'm supposed to go. I'll figure out sooner or later. I can't think of any other pointless information to write down sooo peace.

Daily Journal 2/16

I wake up and try to take a deep breath, but the deeper the breath the more severe the pain. The ground is hard beneath my back, and I feel a dull pain in my arm… I finally begin to regain consciousness and I look at my surroundings. Everyone begins to smile and start cheering but I don't remember why. As I sit up I begin see the stadium with it's jumps and gaps and then I look behind me where I see my motorcycle laying there destroyed. Everything is beginning to come back now but I still can't remember how I crashed. I was probably the luckiest man alive that day coming out of that accident with only a broken arm and some memory loss. My friend goes on to tell me all about what happened. He tells me how I was trying to go for the highest and longest motorcycle jump in history. Everything was going as planned but there was loose gravel around the jump causing it to slip, causing me to crash.

Best Friend

My best friend cares for me as much as I care for them. They think the same way I do and act the same way I do. We have what seems like a million things in common including sports, favorite shows, movies, music, cars, dress style, and we have the same group of friends as well. They are my best friend because they are someone who I have fun being with. There's never a dull moment and we always seem to be laughing and having a good time. We've been through it all, through thick and thin and that's just another reason why we're best friends. I look out for them and they look out for me no matter what. We are honest towards each other and loyal as well. I could be out with other friends and then invite them along because they are adaptable to different environments and easy to make friends with. Over the summer we had some of the greatest times I've had in my life, but also some low times that weren't so great. In the end, I know why they are my best friend and honestly, some words can't even describe why. I just know and I'm pretty damn sure I'm right.

Out of the dark

Out of the dark we came into a large indoor world sort of like Willy Wonkas factory. The place we arrived at was a place that no one had ever imagined. There were trumpets playing as we walked in the entrance. We were walking down towards the football stadium when a group of little monsters that looked like hamsters mixed with dogs came running out in front of the group and a girl squealed saying it was to dangerous to continue on, but we kept making progress. I started to wonder what goes on in the crafty mind of the creator of this imaginary world but my thought was interrupted as I smelt something that just reeked. All the sudden I opened my eyes to see my dog staring at me breathing in my face.

10 years from now

Today I woke up at 8am to get ready for work. I look to my left and see my amazingly sexy girlfriend still sleeping. I shower up and get ready, get in my 2020 BMW M3 and drive to work. I arrive at work where I do all the sports and entertainment marketing for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, etc. After work I come home around 5pm to a hot dinner awaiting my presence. After dinner I head to lifetime to get a solid workout in. I'll shower up and relax the rest of the night watching good tv shows and playing PS3 until I go to bed and do it all over again.

My most embarrassing moment

I couldn't instantly think of one embarrassing moment because I tend to block them out. After a good amount of time I remembered one pretty embarrassing time in my life. One day when I was probably 6 or 7 years old I was biking around the neighborhood on a warm sunday evening. I decided I had to go faster so I stood up to pedal as fast as I possibly could. Then it happened. I was going too fast for the bike and my right footed sliped off the pedal and somehow got stuck between the metal chain frame and the bikes own metal frame. I tried for what seemed like forever to get my foot out but it just wasn't possible. Neighbors volunteered to grab their tool boxes and try to save my helpless foot. None of it worked. There was only one option left... the fire department? Yes the fire department came with a full crew and flashing lights attracting the few neighbors that weren't already outside watching. I finally got my foot out and everyone clapped and went home with a story to tell and I went home with nothing but embarrassment.

To be honest, I'd probably not think anything and just run from the lion. I would be running so fast just hoping the lion didn't catch me and eat me. If running wasn't an option, I would catch the zebra and harness it then ride off into the sunset. If I couldn't ride a zebra, I would probably have to man up and wrestle it like Steve Irwin. The only other thing I could imagine myself doing is just sitting there hoping that the lion doesn't eat me and only eats the zebra. I figure this would also be taking place in Africa and I guess that'd be cool because I've never been there but then the whole being attacked by a lion thing might ruin the entire thing. Before I go there I'll have to read a "How to survive in Africa" book.

Thanks Mom

Thank you mom for everything you have done for me. For starters you brought me into this world and then went on to let me live with you for 18 years while feeding me and caring for me all at the same time. Without you life would be pretty damn tough and I don't think any words could express how grateful I am that I have you to help me through my life. If it weren't for you I probably wouldn't be where I am today. You stuck with me through thick and thin and for that I'll always love you. Thanks mom!

An amazing place

The most amazing place i had ever been in my entire life is easily, without a doubt Jamaica. That's of course inside the resorts because out on the streets its simply dirty. The weather seems to always be amazing and the water is always a vivid blue. Wherever you turn to look you see smiling faces. I went there back in 4th grade so i was only about 10 years old. I wish I could have gone at my age now but I'm still grateful to have gone at all. I remember going from cold freezing temperatures in Minnesota to landing in a foreign land where it was 80 and sunny. My first thoughts were, "damn, I'm not going to ever want to leave this place". Sure enough when the time came around the last thing I wanted to do was leave. The experience plus being at an all inclusive resort where almost every night I was so stuffed from eating that I could barely walk was surely an experience I'll never forget. If I ever am lucky enough to go back I will without any doubt. Jamaica was and I'm sure it will be for a long time, the most amazing place I had ever been.
